Ushahidi report and other datatypes can be uploaded and downloaded using the admin interface, Ushahidi API and DownloadReports plugin.

Admin upload/download of Ushahidi data

• Using "download reports" in the admin reports interface: admin can download reports in CSV or XML format
• Using "upload reports" in the admin reports interface: admin can upload reports in CSV or XML format
• Using "layers" in the admin manage interface: admin can upload map data in KMZ or KML format

If you're uploading reports to Ushahidi via the admin interface, these pages are useful: CSV upload guide and XML upload guide; if you're uploading old datasets, please note that the format of CSV report data has changed since Ushahidi version 1, and may need to be reformatted.

Public (non-admin) upload/download of Ushahidi data

• DownloadReports plugin: user can download reports in CSV or XML format
• Ushahidi public API : user can download reports, categories, locations, comments, countries, custom forms in XML or JSON format

This will only happen if you download and activate the plugin, or activate the public API.
