For the last one month
there has been flooding in different parts of Kenya as a result of heavy rains. At least 70 people have lost their lives, more than 100,000 others have been displaced and properties have been destroyed by the floods as well. Some affected communities have tried to control floods through the construction of dykes but have not successfully solved the problem, as flood waters overtop the dykes almost annually.so there is need to look for other possible measures to control the flood.
