Uchaguzi may receive reports of Sexualized Violence.  UNWomen Kenya have approached Ushahidi to assist with sexual violence to women reports during the elections

We have agreed to work with them.

These are the steps to take:

  1. If you find or translate a report which includes sexual violence please put link to report or SMS in the SV Reports window. Please request access via Jus Mackinnon, Heather Leson or Daudi. You do not need to do anything else.
  2. We will be processing these in a different format. All details will be documented in a shared doc. Basic information will be placed on the platform. We have to keep these vulnerable women protected hence this different process.
  3. We will be directly reporting these issues to responders on the ground in Kenya via shared documentation and Skype. The reports they recieve we will be inputting on the platform.
  4. Anyone who requires access to the full reports will have to justify a good reason to why they are needed.
