The following wiki change recommendations were provided during the Society of Technical Communication (Toronto branch) Management Day held on February 29th, 2012.

  1. Add a "Welcome" page. Redirect readers of the site to a "Downloads page"
  2. About - Should have history, leadership information
  3. Getting involved - Change the terms "technical community" and "non-technical community"
    I am passionate about a topic, I want to help make Ushahidi, I want to help spread Ushahidi
  4. Best Practices should be spread out to appropriate sections.
  5. Service should be renamed - Value added services
  6. Change Documentation to "Products and documentation"

The team also:

  • Changed the overall wiki taxonomy
  • the Ushahidi Products and Documentation section
  • Added documentation and writing guidelines
