FOR ARCHIVAL PURPOSES ONLY

The information in this wiki hasn't been maintained for a good while. Some of the projects described have since been deprecated.

In particular, the "Ushahidi Platform v3.x" section contains information that is often misleading. Many details about this version of Platform have changed since.

This website is an extraction of the original Ushahidi wiki into a static form. Because of that, functions like logging in, commenting or searching will not work.

Comment: Migrated to Confluence 4.0

A channel is the medium through which drops are delivered into a river. A river can therefore use more than one channel for fetching drops. If we were to use the analogy of a bathtub, a channel would be analogous to a tap (e.g. the cold water tap) which you turn on/off to fill up the tub with water of a certain temperature.

The following are examples of channels (the supported channels are in bold):

  • RSS
  • SMS
  • Email
  • Flickr
  • YouTube
  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Google+
